Overview
Emotli is an app designed to empower young girls by fostering emotional connection and self-expression through customizable avatars that are powered up by sharing emotions with friends. The app combines vibrant pastel aesthetics with intuitive design to create a safe and inspiring digital space where users can explore their feelings, connect with others, and learn emotional awareness.

Inspiration
The concept for Emotli was inspired by observing my own daughter interact with her friend over FaceTime while playing Roblox. This experience highlighted the importance of shared digital spaces for children and their potential to nurture meaningful relationships.

Design Approach

• Logo Design: Crafted a playful, modern logo that embodies the app's lighthearted and emotionally uplifting ethos.

• Avatar & Customization: Created a library of unique avatar elements, including hair, clothing, and accessories, using a combination of stock and custom vector illustrations.

• UI/UX Design: Designed the app interface in Figma, drawing inspiration from Roblox's interface design and FigJam boards, while addressing usability challenges commonly faced by children using apps like Roblox.

• Art Direction: The visual style features pastel rainbow tones and light refracting effects, informed by the prevalence of these design elements in the highest-selling products on platforms like Etsy. This decision enhances the app's appeal while tapping into aesthetic trends that resonate with the target audience.

Purpose
Emotli addresses the growing issue of youth depression and suicide by providing a platform for emotional awareness and self-expression. The app bridges the gap between children and their parents in the digital spaces kids feel most comfortable in. It promotes healthier emotional communication while fostering a sense of community and support among peers.

Emotli isn't just an app—it's a tool to help the next generation grow emotionally connected, self-aware, and empowered.
